Leadership Coaching – How We Work

Our leadership coaching division was originally set up in 1990 by Merry Graham who, at the time, was working for The Leadership Community. She joined Time to Talk in early 2006 bringing her skills and experience with her.

The division’s aim is to deliver best practice leadership skills that can be replicable and effective throughout an organisation. Based on our leadership research (see note 1 below) we have brought together best skills, knowledge and processes in a model that supports the principle that leadership starts with self and then ripples out and impacts on our relationships, teams and the organisation.

Our leadership model is built on four essential leadership skills and all our leadership coaching sessions follow this framework whilst allowing space for each leaders individual needs thereby building success thoroughly layer by layer. These essential skills are:

  • Self Mastery In this module you will discover the real you, your unique talents, learning style and how to use your emotions effectively. You will also see what blocks and limits your path to successful leadership. On completion of this module you will maximise your talents and be working to your full potential.
  • Business Mastery In this module we combine the wide angle lens to look at the long tern vision and strategy, the market and the competition and then zoom in on the details and tactics of short term needs. By the end of this module you will have a clear focus on long, medium and short term steps to success.
  • Relationship Mastery Here we polish the skills to identify other people’s unique talents and learn what blocks and limits their progress. On completion of this model you will have the skills and interventions to create consistent harmonious and collaborative working relationships.

  • Change Mastery Finally in this module you will gain a complete understanding of where your team is on the development stages of organisational growth and know how to optimise growth and the change cycle.

Note 1:

    • Developing people
    • Building teams that want to succeed
