Ian Lorimer

Ian is the founding director of Time to Talk Ltd and focuses on helping people develop their potential in both their professional and personal lives and organisations maximise the intellectual capital of their staff in an increasingly complex world and highly competitive business environment. His ideal clients are professionals who work in the City. He is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), International Association of Coaches and trained with Coach University in the US.

Career highlights

His early career was in the Armed Forces and he is a Sandhurst and Army Staff College graduate. He has held various management roles in the oil industry, financial services (fund and private wealth management), outplacement and, before founding Time to Talk, was a founding director of an executive search company that served the needs of the financial services industry.

Big company experience building business value, both domestically and internationally, includes senior public affairs, marketing and managing director roles with Amoco Corporation, Hoare Govett, Security Pacific Fund Management, Baring Asset Management and Aim Global Advisors. Ian has lived and worked in London, the United States, Germany, Luxembourg, the UAE and Hong Kong.
